"Bring Your Vision to Fruition and Live a Fruitful Life"
I've known Tammi for almost as long as I've known my husband — since her husband and mine are close friends. I admire her integrity, creativity, and passion. As a Right Brain Business plan workshop leader, graphic designer, coach and friend, she's certainly a Woman Who WOWS!
What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?
Her confidence at being her authentic self. Women seem to have a harder time at this than men – perhaps because we have so many roles and it's in our nature to nurture. Women (or maybe it's just me) tend to want people to be "comfortable" and in order to do that, many times a woman will conform herself to what she thinks others expect. Pretty soon, we end up all looking and sounding the same. So a woman who really stands out is one who isn't afraid to be herself – regardless of what others "expect" her to be.
What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?
Oprah Winfrey – Giving generously – of your time, talents and other resources – leads to an abundant life.
Angelina Jolie – It's beautiful to be strong and courageous in the face of adversity.
Lady Gaga – Being an individual and carving your own path can lead to great influence.
What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?
It's important to speak your mind, but it's even more important to ACT on what you know is important.
If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?
My ability to appear calm and peaceful in very unnerving situations. People say I am "calming."
What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?
This is a lesson that is near and dear to my heart because I'm still learning it – allow yourself the opportunity to evolve as a business owner. Don't get so stuck on one idea or way of thinking that you stagnate. Take quicker action than is comfortable. I can't tell you how many opportunities I've missed over the past 9 years as a business owner because I wasn't "ready" to act.
