What can I say about Tiffany Krumins? She's hobnobbed and partnered with HEAD SHARK Barbara Corcoran. She fought cancer and won. She's an incredible — and incredibly inventive– mom. She's a product inventor who got her product — AVATHEELEPHANT.com on shelves. She's all-around wow-worthy and I can't wait to introduce you to Tiffany!
What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?
I think “heart” is what gives a woman the wow factor! For years passion and heart was not front and center in business. In fact it was looked down on by men in business as weakness. I believe the reason so many women are succeeding in business now is because they have followed their heart and made NO apologies for doing so! That is what I did and look where it led me!
What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?
I have to start with saying, I don’t tend to look up to celebrities. Unless of course they have shown themselves to be truly admirable, but I don’t find inspiration in “celebrity” alone. My #1 celebrity female inspiration would be Barbara Corcoran! No, not just because she is my business partner but because she truly inspires me to not only succeed in business but to enjoy every step of it! #2 Although she is young, Bethany Hamilton is my #2! She is the true example of a strong woman who pushed past fear and inspired the world! Favorite quote: “I don't really want people looking to me for inspiration. I just want to be a sign along the way that points toward Heaven.” #3 Sara Blakely of Spanks. I love that we started in the same place, at home with a handmade prototype and a big dream! I also like that she has a foundation that supports other women entrepreneurs!
What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?
My mom taught me how to persevere! She pushed through 3 major obstacles in her life that would have broken many people. One of which was being abandoned as a infant along with her 10 brothers and sisters. She has showed me that no matter what you face, to keep fighting and living life! My mother decided at 51 years old to go back to college to become a DOCTOR, and she did it! If that’s not inspirational I don’t know what is!
If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?
Optimism! I have always believed that amazing things were going to happen and they did! My favorite quote is: "Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass…It's about learning to dance in the rain!" -Vivian Greene People assume that because my product was on national television that it was an “overnight hit” and that is just simply not the case. I had to fight hard and continue to, in order to succeed in this extremely competitive industry! The key is shaking off the “no’s” and doing a happy dance for every single YES, no matter how small! Although I have always been optimistic, choosing to keep your head up is a choice. So often the fear and pain of cancer get’s me down, but I have to make a decision to be thankful that God has given me another sunrise to enjoy!
What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?
Learn your industry! So often people outsource work too soon in business. I have found this will leave you clueless when that person fails and you are left to pick up the pieces. I was burned one time by this and decided from that day forward to learn ALL aspects of my company, even if it takes more of your time and is much more stressful. One day I will be able to hire someone to do some of the many tasks. The good news is, now I will know if they are doing it right!
